It’s that time of the year…..
Set Yourself On Fire is a lyric or a title of a song from an indie Canadian band. I use this all the time because I really like the imagery it displays. It essentially says to burn everything away, like a phoenix rising, so that the new you can come out.
As for myself, it feels like this has been a WIP of epic decades proportions.
While I feel like I’ve been winning smaller battles, I’m not making any headway with the bigger ones. I don’t want this to become a war of attrition, work smart not hard as I always say. So I want to win this war before I turn 35, I got the tools and the smarts to do it – I just need to focus and actually do it.
Feedly has this odd glitch where in the app, it actually archives your post from your blog, even the old ones you deleted. I was reviewing some stuff and I noticed it went back to my very first posting, I was very excited since I didn’t archive my writings. I thought that was a big mistake that was gladly rectified by this odd app glitch.
So I’ve been slowly reposting and rewriting all of the good posts that I wrote and taking out the ranty not so helpful ones. It has been a slow progress, to say the least, and it has stunted my new posting. My bigger issue was that the issues that I have been facing seem to be the same ones I was facing a decade ago. It feels like my growth was stunted and I have not moved forward.
It didn’t help that I took this recent 2-year hiatus.
With that said, I’ve resolved to assess every aspect of my life, and move forward. My default is to laze around but 2018 is coming and I do not want to waste 2017 by wasting more time.
